The Chair of General Subjects
Chair development
The Chair of General Subjects has existed since the establishment of the Faculty. It belongs to the Department of Forestry, but the teachers of the Department of General Subjects are engaged in teaching at all four departments. In addition to mathematics, which is a compulsory subject in the first year of undergraduate studies, students continue to learn a foreign language they learned in high school, i.e. the lessons of advanced language for specific purposes (English, Russian, French and German) are organized. In addition to being engaged in teaching the teachers of mathematics are engaged in doctoral studies, and language teachers collaborate with other departments by providing them with technical assistance in translation and interpretation. In its past work the Chair used to include a larger number of general subjects (Sociology, Statistics, Descriptive Geometry), which now belong to other departments of the Faculty of Forestry.
